Hi all,

not a Zeppelin cover but something rather nice:

Erfurt 24.8.29 to Buenos Aires 9.9.29 commercial airmail cover via Aeropostale franked at RM 4.25:

25 PF foreign letter rate up to 20 gr
4 RM airmail fee to Argentina via Aeropostale (2 x 2 RM per 5 gr).

Elusive airmail fee as it was only applicable from 5.9.28 - 31.12.29. It was reduced to 1.60 RM from 1.1.30.

The cover was flown to Toulouse, left on 1.9 and crossed the Atlantic by fast despatch boat to Natal (Brazil), and flown from there to Buenos Aires arriving on 9.9.

Hello alexiosp!
welcome to the eZEPtalk.de board, and nice to have you here!
Interesting cover.... I always though that Cologne or Frankfurt were the German mail exchange post office for mail going via France to South America. Perhaps someone can explain here why your cover was sent by airmail from Erfurt to Munich rather then to Cologne or Frankfurt?!?!?!?
