Hello,
...for comparison, I show the most common type 2.2 of this flight mail with the full set of russian perforated stamps from Leningrad 25th August, 1931 Si.#120.Ca .
Besides, date of arrival in Moscow for 23 days later ... 26th August, 1931 instead of 03rd August, 1931 :!:
The reasons are:
...delivery of mail sent from Leningrad and transferred for the icebreaker "Malyguin", was detained for almost a month before the date of return of the icebreaker in Arkhangelsk 20th August, 1931 and processing (cancellation with date 27th July, 1931 ) there all delivered mail (about 50'000 pieces). ;) A shipment of mail from Arkhangelsk to Moscow takes by train (even !) in less than one day, but a it was delivered on 5 days later... ;)
A similar tested scheme has been used by Russian Postal Authorities again in 1932 for the mail cancellation of the failed flight from Franz-Josef-Land to Arkhangelsk.
Regards,
pasol.
